Refund Policy

Learnova — Refund & Cancellation Policy Effective Date: September 12, 2026 This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, failed payments, duplicate payments, unauthorized transactions, subscription access, and payment reversals are handled on the Learnova platform. By subscribing to a Learnova course or making a payment through Learnova, you agree to this policy together with the Learnova Terms & Conditions. 1. Monthly Subscription Learnova offers certain courses through monthly subscriptions. When a student subscribes to a course: The subscription fee applicable to that course will be shown before payment. The student receives access to the relevant course according to the subscription terms. Access normally remains available during the active paid subscription period, subject to the course and platform rules. A subscription may renew according to the applicable subscription arrangement. Cancelling a subscription does not necessarily mean that the current paid period will be refunded. 2. Subscription Cancellation A student may request cancellation of a subscription through the cancellation method made available by Learnova. Unless otherwise stated: Cancellation stops or prevents future renewal. Cancellation does not automatically result in a refund for the current billing period. The student may continue to have access until the end of the already-paid period, subject to Learnova's applicable rules. Once the paid period ends, access to the subscription-based course may be suspended unless the subscription is renewed. 3. Refund Eligibility A refund may be considered in circumstances such as: A confirmed duplicate payment for the same subscription. A payment that was successfully deducted but the corresponding Learnova subscription was not created or activated because of a technical/payment-processing error. An unauthorized transaction, subject to verification. A material service issue that prevents the user from receiving the paid service, where Learnova determines that a refund is appropriate. Other circumstances required by applicable law. Refunds are not automatically guaranteed simply because a student changes their mind after subscribing. 4. Course Access and Refund Requests Before requesting a refund, students should contact Learnova support and provide: Full name associated with the account. Account email or phone number. Course name. Transaction reference. Payment date. Amount paid. Reason for the refund request. Learnova may review account activity, payment records, subscription status, and relevant technical information before making a refund decision. 5. Duplicate Payments If a student is charged more than once for the same subscription because of a duplicate transaction, Learnova will investigate the transactions. Where a duplicate payment is confirmed, the additional eligible payment may be refunded or otherwise corrected. The original valid subscription payment will normally remain associated with the student's subscription. 6. Failed Payments A payment may fail, remain pending, or be reversed by the payment provider. If a payment fails and Learnova does not receive successful payment confirmation: The subscription may not be activated. The student may not receive paid-course access. The student should not assume that a failed transaction created an active subscription. If money was deducted despite a failed or incomplete transaction, the student should provide the transaction reference so that Learnova can investigate the payment status with the relevant payment provider. 7. Payment Pending or Delayed Some transactions may remain pending because of payment-provider processing, network problems, or other technical reasons. Learnova may wait for official confirmation from the relevant payment provider before activating or confirming a subscription. Students should avoid making repeated payments while an earlier transaction is still being investigated, where possible. 8. Unauthorized Transactions If you believe that a payment was made without your authorization, contact Learnova as soon as possible and provide the relevant transaction information. Learnova may work with the applicable payment provider to verify the transaction. Where an unauthorized transaction is confirmed, the transaction may be reversed or refunded according to the circumstances and applicable requirements. Users should also contact their bank or payment provider when appropriate. 9. Refund Processing When Learnova approves a refund, the refund may normally be processed through the original payment method or through another appropriate method supported by the payment provider. The time required for the refund to appear in the user's account may depend on: Payment provider processing time. Bank processing time. Payment method. Transaction verification. Weekends and public holidays. Learnova cannot guarantee a specific banking processing time controlled by a third-party provider. 10. Refunds for Partially Used Subscription Periods Unless required by applicable law or expressly approved by Learnova, a student who has already accessed or used a course during a paid monthly subscription period may not automatically receive a full or prorated refund for the unused portion of that period. Refund requests will be evaluated based on the circumstances of the transaction and service provided. 11. Course Cancellation by Learnova or Teacher If Learnova or a teacher cancels a course or materially prevents students from receiving the service they paid for, Learnova may consider an appropriate remedy, which may include: Continued access where possible. Transfer to another available course. Extension of access. Partial refund. Full refund. The remedy will depend on the circumstances and applicable requirements. 12. Teacher Revenue and Refund Adjustments Learnova's standard revenue-sharing arrangement is: 70% — Teacher share 30% — Learnova platform share A payment is recorded according to Learnova's transaction ledger. If a transaction is later refunded, reversed, or charged back, Learnova may reverse or adjust the corresponding revenue allocation. For example, where an eligible 1,000 ETB transaction was originally allocated: Teacher: 700 ETB Learnova: 300 ETB a subsequent full refund may result in the corresponding 700 ETB teacher ledger amount and 300 ETB Learnova ledger amount being reversed or adjusted, subject to payment-provider fees, taxes, and other applicable adjustments. 13. Teacher Payout Timing Teacher earnings from monthly subscriptions are not necessarily immediately withdrawable after a student makes a payment. Where applicable, the teacher's share becomes eligible for payout only after: The student's payment has been successfully confirmed. The applicable paid monthly period has been completed. The transaction has not been refunded, reversed, or charged back. Any applicable eligibility requirements have been satisfied. A teacher may then submit a payout request according to Learnova's payout procedures. Learnova may delay or hold a payout when a transaction is under review or subject to a refund, dispute, chargeback, or other payment issue. 14. Chargebacks A chargeback occurs when a payment is disputed through a bank, payment provider, card network, or other financial institution. When a chargeback occurs, Learnova may: Suspend the related subscription. Restrict access to the relevant course. Investigate the transaction. Reverse the associated ledger allocation. Adjust or recover teacher and platform earnings. Provide transaction information to the relevant payment provider where appropriate. A chargeback does not necessarily replace the normal refund process. Users are encouraged to contact Learnova first when a payment or service issue can reasonably be resolved directly. 15. Fraudulent Refund Requests Learnova may reject refund requests where there is evidence of: Fraud. Payment manipulation. Repeated abusive refund requests. Account sharing. Unauthorized access. Misrepresentation of transaction information. Deliberate misuse of the refund process. Such activity may also result in account suspension or termination. 16. Promotional and Special Offers Special promotional prices, discounts, scholarships, free trials, or other offers may have additional refund or cancellation conditions. Where special conditions apply, they will be communicated with the relevant offer. 17. Taxes, Fees and Payment Provider Charges Depending on the transaction and applicable requirements, refunds may be affected by taxes, payment-processing charges, foreign-exchange differences, or other charges imposed by third parties. Where applicable, Learnova may make reasonable adjustments in accordance with the relevant transaction and legal requirements. 18.
